Marantz, Model 2245 Vintage Receiver, "Fabulous" - SOLD
Here we have an incredible classic solid state Marantz, Model 2245 receiver. It was produced from 1971 to around 1976 and puts out a clean 45 watts per channel into 8 ohms which is plenty enough jam to power all but the most demanding speaker loads. It has the typical look of mid 1970’s Marantz receivers with the brushed aluminum face plate, blue tuning dial and flywheel tuner, which they called "Gyro Touch Tuning". The Marantz, 2245 has a nice Mid tone adjustment which is a pretty useful feature to compliment the standard Low/Hi adjustments. It also has Low and Hi Filters along with Loudness and Muting controls.
Most all Marantz receivers of this time were well built and this beautifully preserved example is put togther like a tank. It's been gone through extensively by our in-house tech and has been given a clean bill of health. It's ready to be the heart of your vintage MCM setup... plays as good as it looks and is a near perfect Marantz receiver with only slightest signs of wear. Front to back a solid 8+/9 piece!
