Vintage McIntosh is worth every penny. They sound great, are reliable and conservatively engineered, and parts and service support is available even after 50+ years! Many McIntosh components made in the 1950's, 1960's, and 1970's are still in daily use today. They are Heirloom quality, built to last generations.

The McIntosh C32 solid state preamp/monitoring amp is an absolute beauty and pairs incredibly well with many different types of power amplification, but of course is right at home with McIntosh solid state and tube amps of the same era. The C32 provides a very smooth, uncolored sound making it easy to setup and enjoy.  New for the C32 when it was released in 1977, was a complete “dual-stereo” layout where the playback and record/monitor audio loops are completely separated within the unit. This feature improves articulation of the audio signal every step of the way.

This C32 also sports inputs galore with provision for two turntables using its excellent redesigned phono stage, an aux input, and or up to three tape recording units. The C32 also uses a variable loudness control to allow for greater EQ flexibility for low-volume or FM listening; a built-in “compander” circuit for enhancing lower-level recordings; and a 5-band equalizer for the ultimate in signal control.

This C32 has been gone through fully by our in-house tech and is now ready for the next owner to enjoy for many years.  Physically, this unit is in very presentable condition with only a few very minor wear marks here and there from age.  The wood case is glorious. We'd rate it a 8.9 out of 10. In terms of sound, it's fantastic!
