McIntosh MA6300, A Modern Take On Classic Performance

The McIntosh MA6300 is a high-performance, solid-state integrated amplifier that delivers a conservatively-rated 100 watts per channel into 8-ohm loads, rising to 160 watts into 4 ohms. Engineered to combine a preamplifier and power amplifier in a single, compact chassis, it features a direct-coupled design capable of providing a low total harmonic distortion (THD) of less than \(0.005\%\) across the 20 Hz to 20 kHz spectrum.

To ensure reliability and longevity, the unit utilizes advanced "Thermo-Track" output transistors, which offer efficient heat dissipation and thermal stability, alongside McIntosh’s patented Power Guard circuit to prevent speaker damage from clipping.

Functionally, the MA6300 utilizes digital logic integrated circuits to drive electromagnetic switching for all seven inputs—including one balanced XLR and a dedicated Moving Magnet (MM) phono stage—ensuring quiet, distortion-free signal routing. The preamplifier section allows for flexible routing, with separate pre-out/power-in terminals that enable bi-amping or the use of an external processor.

This unit of course maintains the traditional McIntosh aesthetic, featuring a fiber-optic backlit black glass front panel and iconic blue output meters.  This MA6300 is SPOTLESS and includes all of the original packaging, manual, remote, and accessories.  It is plug-and-play and sounds utterly fantastic.
