Vintage McIntosh is worth every penny. They sound great, are reliable and conservatively engineered, and parts and service support is available even after 50+ years! Many McIntosh components made in the 1950's, 1960's, and 1970's are still in daily use today. They are Heirloom quality, built to last generations.

The McIntosh MCD7000 is a classic single-disc CD player manufactured in the USA from 1985 to 1988.  As the brand's first-ever CD player, it holds a significant place in audio history and is prized by audiophiles for its robust build and exceptional sound quality.  The MCD7000 is engineered to produce a smooth, uncolored, natural, and clean sound, with extremely low total harmonic distortion.
The MCD7000 is housed in a black chassis with the signature McIntosh glass front panel with illuminated/backlit labeling. It utilizes the professional McIntosh PANLOC mounting system for those wanting to mount within a quintessential Mac wood case.  Internally, the MCD7000 uses a well-regarded Philips CDM-1 mechanism and twin TDA1540 14-bit digital converters, which are part of its appeal to vintage audio enthusiasts.
The player includes two sets of output jacks: fixed outputs for connecting to a preamplifier with its own volume control, and variable outputs with a dedicated front-panel level control for direct connection to a power amplifier. Both can be used simultaneously.
This unit has been serviced by our tech, with new belts and completely cleaned and overhauled mechanism.  Given its age, it can be a little picky with non-factory recorded CDs, or CDs with scratched surfaces.
