Monitor Audio Silver RX8, "Top Speaker in its Class"

The Monitor Audio RX8 Silver was considered a best-in-class speaker during its time, a design that The Absolute Sound called "an overachiever."  The RX8 is medium-sized  tower are configured with two 6-inch mid-woofers and one 6-inch mid-bass, all with Monitor's branded C-CAM con structures. This is an aluminum-magnesium alloy with ceramic coating, combines low weight and high rigidity. The addition of small spherical hollows (RST technology) contribute to the reduction of resonances within the pass-band of the driver itself. The tweeter driver is almost the same as in the speaker systems of older Gold Series - with a golden dome and back chamber, which dampens vibration.

All Silver RX models have an unusual mounting of drivers to the front panel. If in the most speaker systems the drivers are mounted on screws, here they firmly tightened to the front wall with a help of through strainers, also increasing the overall rigidity of the bodies.

Tonal balance of Monitor Audio Silver RX8 is carefully calculated and incredibly pleasing. The system shows rich sound with excellent resolution without noticeable priority of any part of the range over the rest of the spectrum. The character of this system provides incredible accuracy and tonal clarity, meeting the performance usually expected from much more expensive speakers. They play wonderfully with a wide variety of music and are pleasing to listen to over extended sessions. 

Build quality is equally superb and the gloss white finish is elegant and beautiful from every angle.  This set comes complete with full manufacturers boxes, packaging and paperwork.  The optional wide-stance bases are also included.
