The New York Audio Labs (NYAL) Moscode 300 is a legendary vintage hybrid power amplifier originally released in the mid-1980s. Designed by George Kaye, it famously pioneered the combination of a vacuum tube input driver stage with a solid-state MOSFET output stage.

The Moscode Minuet  is a vintage tube-hybrid preamplifier manufactured by New York Audio Laboratories (NYAL) during the 1980s. Designed alongside iconic Moscode hybrid amplifiers like the Moscode 300 & 600, the Minuet is celebrated for offering a rich, classic tube sound at a relatively affordable price point.

Design & CircuitryTube Complement: The preamp traditionally utilizes a pair of 12AX7 tubes dedicated to the high-gain phono stage and a pair of 6DJ8 (or 6FQ7) tubes for the line stage.

Cascode Topology: Unlike standard cascade designs, the Minuet employs a cascode tube circuit to pull out finer musical details.

Power Supply: It features independent regulators on each tube and filament regulation. The original Minuet came with either a MOSFET regulator or an optional dual-tube regulated power supply.
