Nakamichi CD Player 3, With MusicBank - SOLD

Like their cassette decks, Nakamichi CD players and transports are known across the audio spectrum as being incredibly well-built, smooth sounding, and reliable pieces of equipment. In the early 1990s, Nakamichi introduced the CD Player 2 and 3, both featuring their proprietary MusicBank disc exchange system.   Traditional carousel changers were wrought with problems. Nak's idea was to improve motor isolation for the transport while offering the utility of a disc changer by using lightweight trays that would move to the laser and transport, which were mounted integrally to the tray itself. Isolating the motor system in this way reduces the ability for noise to enter into the signal chain and improves laser tracking and error correction. 

The CD Player 3 uses an 18-bit glitch free DAC, 8x oversampling, floating drive, and Nakamichi's magnetic disc stabilizer to deliver excellent quality sound, in a compact and very functional package.

This unit has been fully tested and plays disc wonderfully.  Physical condition is very good. The front display is missing the top glass as shown in the photos. Demos are highly encouraged in Lawrence, MA.
