Nikko Electric Works Ltd. began making consumer electronics in 1948 and continued as an independent manufacturer until the mid 1990s.  As with many post-War Japanese brands of the time, Nikko made a name for themselves as budget-oriented and high-quality hifi components, targeted toward ex-pats and other markets beyond Japan's borders.

By 1980, Nikko was hitting its stride with general consumers and audiophiles alike.  Their products continued to be known for high-value at a moderate cost.  Nikko often flexed their muscle with powerful separates like the Alpha, Beta, Gamma series.  But many times people forget that some of Nikko's best products were their stereo receivers.

The NR-719 is no exception.  It's a modestly powered amp at 35 watts per channel, but provides plenty of kick and control for speakers from the same era.  With a 94dB signal-to-noise ratio, the NR-719 provides a very low noise floor, which means cleaner output and more music being delivered to your ears.

This unit is in great physical condition and has been checked and aligned by our tech and is ready for many more years to come.  The brushed silver face and simulated wood case give it that subtle, understated vintage vibe.
