The V40SE is an all-around outstanding performer. It is a line stage integrated with four 6550 tubes outputting 40 watts per channel in an "enhanced pentode" configuration. The amplifier is capable of powering challenging loads, down to 2 ohms and through 16 ohms nominal, with ease using Octave's custom hybrid drive circuits. For a tube amp, the Octave V40SE has one of the highest S/N ratios we have ever seen, especially at this price point, at 110dB at full power. That is outstanding!

The V40 SE design has remained largely unchanged over the years, and for good reason, it's gorgeous. The angular cage compliments the chassis sharp, aggressive lines. The centered LED selector screen provides a simple road map into the unit's operation, but nothing more. This amp looks like it means business because it does.

The V40SE also features 4 line level RCA inputs, one tape-loop output, and one set of pre-out/main-in connectors. Available in Silver and Black finish.

This Octave, V40SE is our Demo/Floor model and is in AS-NEW condition. Very little hours on the quad set of JJs... Comes complete with OM, Factory Box and Packaging, Aluminum Slab of a Remote, Screwdriver, White Gloves and its entirety.
