Phase Technology PC-80/PC-90, Bookshelf Speaker & Subwoofer Combo - SOLD

Phase Technology has been an OEM manufacturer of high-quality audio components since the 1970s.  In the mid-80s, phase Technology began producing it's own branded line of speakers, and still do today as part of the larger conglomerate, MSE Audio, based in Jacksonville, FL. Phase Technology is known for having a long-standing patent on the suspended soft fabric dome tweeter, which is a design they still feature today.  They also innovated a rigid, yet smooth-sounding, flat-panel woofer cone construction which reduces cone resonances and provides for more linear piston movement. 

The PC-80/PC-90 Sat/Sub system, uses both of these technologies to great effect.  The speakers have a mellow, easy-to-enjoy presentation without any high end harshness.  The cabinets are constructed incredibly well and are HEAVY.  The while designs well-thought out and can be powered with moderate, to higher powered amplifiers, recommended 50 watts and up.  The subwoofer offers incredible bas extension and is design to hand-off seamlessly with the satellites.  The original clear oak veneer shows some signs of age, but is generally very presentable.  All drivers have been refoamed for many more years of use. 

A great starter system, and bargain at $249. (plus applicable sales tax)
