PSB Speakers was founded in 1972 by Paul and Sue Barton in Waterloo, Canada.  PSB has been successfully pushing the boundaries of hifi audio since introducing the "PSB Canadian Sound" to the world at that time.  With the goal of reproducing the timbre of natural instruments as closely as possible, PSB employed quality components from Philips Audio Labs in Denmark, and the product line was born.

The 70R loudspeaker features a 2-way speaker design with a low 1,800 Hz crossover point between a 1" dome tweeter and 8" coated paper cone woofer.  A 10" passive bass radiator rounds out the crossover compliment, allowing the system to produce deep, and tightly controlled bass down to 30Hz.

This system has been fully serviced.  Bass radiators have been upgraded with new ballasted diaphragms, woofer surrounds have been replaced with new materials of the same density, and crossovers have been recapped with Audyn Q4 components for highest fidelity. Rear terminals have been upgraded to 5-way binding posts.

These speakers are a bargain value for a new audiophile.

Demos are available at our showroom with COVID precautions in place.
