Sansui 1000A Tube Receiver & SP-2000 Speakers, Perfect Pairing!

It's no secret that we at HHA are big fans of classic Sansui. Every piece we've come across is interesting and a performance champ. There is no debating the synergy that Sansui receivers had with many classic speaker systems of the era -- Especially so when pairing Sansui's electronics with their in-house speaker systems.  Here we have a beautiful opportunity to relive those 1960s vibes with the 1000A tube powered stereo receiver (1964) and a pair of amazing SP-2000 loudspeakers (1967).  

Starting with this receiver, the 1000A is a real beauty.  Classic 1960s mid-century lines, warm/incandescent lighting, and a gorgeous tube sound that modern digital age systems can't seem to replicate.  This amp touts a bevy of four 7591 power output tubes for roughly 40 watts per channel of output into an 8 ohm load.  Plenty of  ooomph to get any set of speakers singing, but especially combined with the classics from the same era.   Incomparable vintage Sansui design, craftsmanship & attention to detail through out.  This specific unit has been serviced and calibrated by our in-house staff and is ready to play.  The tuner works incredibly well and pulls in stations clearly.  Besides a few minor marks from age, this piece is a real looker and performer. 

Combined with the SP-2000 loudspeakers, Sansui's most powerful offering at the time, this 3-piece setup is astonishingly great.  The SP-2000 are a 6-driver, 4-way speaker system.  The front ported enclosure and broad array of drivers across the frequency spectrum give a wonderful, open, and airy presentation. Bass response is tight and ample. The real walnut veneer cabinets are all original, as are the lattice front grilles, which besides a few minor nicks are miraculously in tact! 

This is truly a wonderful combo.  For the price, a really solid value as well.  Perfect for those new to tubes, or even new to vintage hifi altogether.  A rare set that will only appreciate in value with proper care.
