The Sansui Seven is a stereo receiver made with the aim of becoming a famous sound device by gathering all of its much heralded technologies under one roof (case).

In the main amplifier section, all stages are directly connected OCL pure complimentary service and a constant current drive system is adopted to prevent degradation of distortion characteristics at high and low outputs. As a result, it is possible to achieve high-quality sound quality from deep bass to high pitch with little distortion, regardless of whether the sound is large or small. The equalizer circuit of the preamp section uses an NF type with three stages of carefully selected low-noise transistors directly connected to each other to obtain excellent transient response and RIAA deviation. In addition, the tone circuit is rotary switch type and can freely adjust low, middle and high frequencies with SANSUI's unique triple tone control. The tuner and preamplifier are equipped with a stabilizing power supply that stabilizes the voltage, and the main amplifier is equipped with a constant current drive system and a two stage differential amplifier circuit that is stable against power and load fluctuations. To protect the transistors and speakers, a newly designed relay circuit and four short-cut fuses are installed to ensure safety.

Equipped with a 4-channel adapter terminal that allows you to enjoy 4-channel stereo.
If you don't use this feature, you can connect a tape deck to record, play, and reprint your tapes. You can also connect a noise reduction adapter (remember those) that reduces the noise unique to tape and allows you to enjoy comfortable recording and playback. The pre-amplifier and main amplifier sections can be used separately and can be developed into a multi-amplifier system. Also equipped with low filter, high filter, loudness switch, mode switch which can switch between stereo and monaural, etc.

Three pairs of speakers can be connected and the selector can be used to select A, B, C, A + B, A + C, or OFF.

In order to receive with minimum distortion and maximum S/N, we have adopted a 2-meter system consisting of a signal meter with a precise tuning point and a center tuning meter. A muting circuit is built in to cut off inter-station noise.
It is also possible to select a station with weak signal by switching the switch. In addition to the normal balanced 300 ohm antenna input terminal, there is also a 75 ohm terminal for coaxial cable, which is effective for long distances and noisy locations.

We here at HHA do love us some Sansui... all denominations and models. Just some of the highest quality classic audio to come out of Japan that transcends its era. Even by todays standards, these old Sansui receivers play amazingly and are capable of mating perfectly well with contemporary speakers. Even by today's standards, these old Sansui receivers play amazingly and are capable of mating perfectly well with contemporary speakers. This "Seven" has been recently gone through font to back by our expert in-house tech staff and is good to go. The dial lights have been modified to stay ON for all input sources (a common customization). Overall an excellent piece with only the slightest signs of wear - it shows extremely well for a piece 40+ year old component.
