Tannoy Mercury M2 Bookshelf Speakers - SOLD
Tannoy is one of the oldest speaker companies in the world. Founded in London in 1926, Tannoy originally made components for Public Address systems. The name "Tannoy" is derived from the materials they used to make their components: Tantalum and Lead Alloy.
Fast forward nearly one hundred years, and Tannoy still manufactures some of the most innovative, durable, and sought-after audio products in the world. Not to be left out of a growing entry-level market, Tannoy developed the original "planetary" line of speakers in the 1970s with names like Venus, Mercury, and Saturn.
The model available here, the Mercury M2, are an example of how Tannoy's manufacturing and design history contributed toward an excellent, compact entry-level speaker. Finished in beautiful Black/Birdseye cabinets in near perfect 9+ condition; just the slightest signs of visible wear.
