TEAC A-3300SR R2R Time Machine

The TEAC A-3300SR is similar to the A-3300SX, but adds reverse playback together with several sophisticated circuit improvements.

So, this TEAC A-3300SR RTR Deck is extraordinary,... super clean, totally functional and fully serviced, not only mechanically but also electronically by our in-house analog tape specialists. Also note: the capstan pulley has 2 groves for the belt, one for 50 Hertz and one for 60.

The A-2300 and A-3300 series are our favorites because of their very attractive and compact appearance, their great sound quality, and their robustness (they are built like a tank!). Replacement parts are still relatively are easy to find as TEAC manufactured many of these recorders.

The A-3300SR is a 4 track, 2 channel (stereo), 2 speed (3 3⁄4 and 7 1⁄2 inches per second) Auto-Reverse tape deck. It records in one direction, so you have to flip the reels to record all tracks, but it will play in both directions. The auto-reverse function detects a small piece of aluminum tape attached to the end of the tape. Please note that the Auto-Reverse function only works when the tape reaches the end in the forward direction, it will auto-reverse into the reverse direction but it will not auto-reverse again when it reaches the beginning of the tape, that's the way it is designed. It was manufactured in the mid 70’s. Really a super-cool deck and in exceptional visual and operating condition front to back.
