The Original Large Advent Loudspeaker - An Audio Icon

Henry Kloss co-founded The Advent Corporation in 1968 to pursue the design and manufacture affordable color televisions.  As a means of raising capital, Kloss began the production of a loudspeaker system, The Advent Loudspeaker, a design which has become an icon of mid-century acoustic suspension speakers.

From deep, resonating lows to crisp, sparkling highs, The Advent Loudspeaker offers a balanced frequency range that excels in both music and movie soundtracks. It’s engineered to bring out the best in every note, every word, and every sound effect.

This particular pair of Advents are in excellent condition.  The original real walnut veneer, and walnut beveled-edge front faces are in beautiful condition with only the slightest signs of wear. The grille covers have been re-covered in our own cotton/poly blend acoustically transparent cloth, and they look fabulous.  The original masonite-ring woofers were refoamed and perform perfectly.  Crossovers have been recapped with high quality film caps, a huge improvement over the originals.

The Advent Loudspeaker fits beautifully into any home audio setup. Whether you’re an audiophile or a casual listener, its retro appeal adds a touch of nostalgia and sophistication to your living room or listening space.
