The Prism Sound Titan is a truly pro-grade, rack-mountable 1U audio interface that represents a benchmark in digital audio fidelity. At its heart, Titan delivers eight channels of analog input and eight channels of analog output, with the kind of conversion that only Prism Sound’s storied heritage can deliver — all wrapped in a rugged, studio-ready chassis. Four of the eight analog channels feature pristine mic preamps, equipped with digitally controlled gain (in precise 1-dB steps), switchable phantom power, and 20 dB pads, giving you the versatility to handle anything from delicate vocal mics to hotter sources without compromise. On top of that, there are two front-panel high-impedance instrument inputs, ideal for guitars, basses, or synthesizers, offering real flexibility for modern studio workflows.
From a technical standpoint, the Titan supports 24-bit resolution and sample rates up to 192 kHz, giving you headroom and transparency that make it equally suitable for demanding multitrack recording, mastering, stem-based workflows, or surround monitoring. Its digital I/O is robust: you get both coaxial (RCA) and optical (TOSLINK) ports, with the coax capable of operating in S/PDIF or AES3 format, and the optical ports supporting ADAT at a variety of sample rates — or switched to higher-rate modes depending on your needs.
One of the Titan’s most compelling features is its MDIO expansion slot, which lets you drop in an optional module (sold separately) to change or extend the host interface. Whether you want to integrate with Pro Tools HDX, Dante networks, Thunderbolt (future-proofing), or other digital ecosystems, the MDIO slot gives you that modular flexibility. The slot on this example is open, allowing you to customize to your liking.
If you’re looking for a workhorse interface that combines the sonic pedigree of Prism Sound’s flagship converters, professional mic preamps, flexible digital I/O, and the expandability of MDIO, the Titan is designed precisely for demanding studios, post-production rooms, mastering suites, and live tracking environments.
We don't typically traffic in pro gear like the Titan, but this piece, due to its impeccable sonic qualities and technical prowess might fit right into a highly resolving audio playback rig that could double for studio use.
Barely used, in the original packaging, with software, this a real value at this price.
